James Harden Named Western Conference Player Of The Week

It was a week to remember for the Houston Rockets, their fans and of course James Harden, who has been named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week.

Harden had by far the best week of his career last week with the Rockets. NBA Analysts and fans alike are already calling the Thunder a badly ran franchise for trading Harden away. In three games James averaged 35 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal in 41 minutes a game. He shot 52% from the field, 35% from downtown and 81% from the line.

His points a game average will drop some but it’s not crazy to think he can’t average 25 points a game for the entire season. He’s changed the entire landscape of the team. Just two weeks ago the team was thought to try and fight for the playoffs, now it looks like it will be a disappointment if they don’t.

It’s just one week into the season so let’s not get to crazy on what this team could be. But if Harden continues to play even just a tiny bit close to what he has so far he will be representing the Rockets in Houston for the 2013 All-Star game.
