Houston Rockets Embarrass The Utah Jazz

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

This game was over from the very beginning as the Houston Rockets completely demolished the Utah Jazz 125-80.

I know the rivalry between these two teams isn’t the same as it was in the 90’s but it’s always nice to see the Rockets put a beat down on the Jazz.

This was definitely a team win as every starter and every bench player chipped in. The key stats of the night for Houston, they turned the ball over just 5 times, out-rebounded the Jazz bigs and shot almost 20% better from the field.

James Harden looked great once again as he finished with 25 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in 28 minutes. He shot 8-8 from the line.

Omer Asik only scored 4 points but tied his career high with 19 rebounds and 2 blocks in 26 minutes. He also played great defense on Al Jefferson who shot just 5-14 from the field.

Jeremy Lin, Chandler Parsons and Patrick Patterson all finished with 12 points. Lin also chipped in 7 assists and 3 steals.

Carlos Delfino and Marcus Morris both came off the bench and had huge nights offensively. Delfino finished with 14 points on 4-6 from downtown while Morris finished with 16 points while also shooting 4-6 from downtown.

The Rockets held the Jazz to just 80 points on 39% from the field and 27% from three. Houston also forced 15 turnovers and won the rebound battle 44-39. Rockets also finished with 26 fastbreak points while the Jazz only had 2.

The Rockets are now on a three-game winning streak and will face the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night.
