Early September is always a dead period in NBA-related news, so the attention shifts to life off the basketball court. People tend to hate tabloids, gossip sites, and the paparazzi, but this one will get everyone’s attention:

From our friend Michael Sykes II from Hardwood Houdini, newly acquired Boston Celtics forward Kris Humphries has come out and said that he feels for Lamar Odom. Odom, who has been the center of attention recently due to reports of him being a crack/cocaine addict, had been staying at a hotel and was comforted by friends for the issue. While it is not confirmed whether Odom was specifically addicted to crack/cocaine, it is official that he has had some sort of drug addiction. He was also arrested early Friday morning for a DUI.

Odom of course, is married to Khloe Kardashian, who’s sister, Kim, was formerly married to Humphries. While Humphries and Odom are not friends, Humphries stated that he thinks the Kardashian family is setting Odom up.

“According to RadarOnline, Kris is not a friend of Lamar’s, but he remembers being targeted the same way and going through “tabloid hell” when he was divorcing Kim. Kris says “There should be a support group for former boyfriends and husbands of the Kardashians.”

Everyone, get yourself a few good laughs in. Kim and Kris’s marriage lasted a whopping 72 days.

Jokes aside, hopefully Odom can recover from this mess and get his life back together.

The sad part is that the Kardashians have finally found a way to get their own tabloid section in NBA news.
