The benefits of having Dwight Howard on the Houston Rockets have begun to pour in, on the entertainment side. Howard is no stranger to getting his acting on, and what better place to add to his SAG credits then a show on the Disney channel.
According to the Houston Chronicle , Dwight Howard, Stephen Curry and Tyson Chandler are among the NBA players who will appear on Disney XD next month during what the network is calling “Pranksgiving.”
Curry and Chandler join centers Kenneth Faried and DeAndre Jordan as part of a crew who will join Crash, a puppet from the sitcom “Crash & Bernstein” to pull pranks on some of the network’s stars.
The month long programming event begins Monday, Nov. 4 and features new episodes each week.
Howard will make a guest appearance on the comedy series “Mighty Med.” The new Rockets center will play a superhero called “the Great Defender.”
Here is the promo for Might Med, a show about kids that are doctors for superheroes. Amazing, the programming for kids these days, but I’m sure Howard had a good time showcasing his acting chops.
Mighty Med airs October 7th, on Disney XD
The network has become a favorite of NBA players, some of whom were featured last year in a program called “My Life as an NBA Rookie.”
