Houston Rockets 130 Denver Nuggets 125(OT)-Recap

After 3 and a half quarters, The Houston Rockets had fallen victim to the Denver Nuggets in a classic trap game, but an incredible 16-3 run to end regulation tied the game at 117 at the end of regulation.  A stretch of 3 consecutive 3-pointers made by Francisco Garcia and Chandler Parsons helped the Rockets close the game out on a 29-11 run.

James Harden continued his streak of scoring at least 25 points, finishing with 32 points and 10 assists, while Jeremy Lin scored 19 points and dished out 5 assists. Omer Asik, starting for Dwight Howard once again, scored 18 points and grabbed a season high 23 rebounds, and Parsons added 15 points.

Isaiah Canaan scored a career high 15 points, while Terrence Jones added 14 points and 5 rebounds in 24 minutes.

The Rockets caught on fire in the 2nd quarter, outscoring the Nuggets 47-25 to take a 17 point lead at halftime. The 3rd quarter would turn out to be the complete opposite, however, as the Nuggets outscored the Rockets 36-19 to tie the game heading into the 4th quarter.

Trailing 114-101 with 3:55 left in the game, Harden scored 9 of the last Rockets’ 16 points, including a 3-pointer that tied the game at 117 with 10 seconds left. Randy Foye would then airball a fadeaway at the buzzer.
