SCS takes a look at the social media buzz with the Houston Rockets and Game 1

As the Houston Rockets prepared for game 1, everyone questioned how the Rockets will persevere against the Golden State Warriors. With the Rockets out on the floor during warmups, some speculated whether a 15-foot jumper is a secret key to Dwight Howard‘s production this series.

Secret weapon? Elbow jumpers. pic.twitter.com/bhyyiqpA67

For a guy who shot 48 percent from the charity stripe this season. It may not be in JB Bickerstaff‘s best interest to allow D12 to shoot 15-feet out. Regardless of Houston’s game plan, Howard is the X-Factor this series.

If D12 can find a way to have an impact on the series, The Rockets may have a chance of making this a competitive series. At 6’11 265 pounds, if Howard can average 25 points and 15 rebounds. It would be tough for a team who plays small ball to stop superman. Even Rockets ex-coach Jeff Van Gundy knows Howard’s production is critical.

Another question heading into game 1 was JB Bickerstaff’s inconsistent roster rotation. Surprisingly, midway during the third, K.J. McDaniels got a chance to make some noise on defense. After a full season of coaching, I still do not understand why Bickerstaff has not found solid minutes for McDaniels.

Nice to see this effort from KJ McDaniels, blocking Klay in transition. https://t.co/KF5hLiin0d

After losing 104-78, the Rockets face a tough task heading into Monday’s night showdown against the Warriors. With game 2 back in Oracle Arena, Jason Terry believes the Rockets can still win a victory on their home floor.
