NBA Free Agency continues to move along at a snail’s pace with very few big names remaining.

As NBA Free Agency draws near to 3 weeks of activity there are less than a handful of big name free agents unsigned and two are from the NBA Championship squad. Another has been cut loose due to a lack of early response and several lower tier players remain.

July 18th provided news on only 2 fronts:

The Cleveland Cavaliers inked Chris Andersen to a 1-year, minimum deal. This came on the heels of the trade last week Sasha Kaun to the 76ers to make room to sign him.

But it’s the services of free agents LeBron James  and  J.R. Smithwhich loom. James reiterated his intention to return, but one wonders exactly what he’s waiting for and whether this passive stance on his free agency should be cause for concern. It’s likely the Cavs are waiting to nail down James prior to addressing Smith.  However, if your tendency is toward the conspiracy minded could James be waiting for Smith to grow weary and sign elsewhere?

The only team in action on the 18th was the Milwaukee Bucks who re-signed center Miles Plumlee to a hefty 4-year $52M deal.

Though the list grows shorter, especially of top talent, the following is a list of some free agent the Rockets will be mulling over:
