James Harden is widely recognized for his basketball skills, his beard, and his…puppies?

Most of the talk that surrounds James Harden has to do with basketball, and for good reason. The 2016-2017 campaign has been the best of the Beard’s career by far, and his Houston Rockets are winning games. When basketball greatness is brought up in conversation this season, Harden’s name is often one of the first mentioned.

His beard is also widely discussed. It’s easily the most popular facial hair in all of professional sports, and potentially the widely recognized beard in the world. What an interesting reason to be highly regarded. Even his nickname is simply “the Beard.” It might not be creative, but it definitely gets the point across.

He might normally be known for getting buckets and having extremely productive hair follicles, but he’s also a dog-lover. Today, on National Puppy Day, the Rockets gave him the best gift that a dog person can receive: a lap full of puppies.

He also has a dog of his own, named Zeus. He hasn’t posted a picture of him in a little over a year, but it’s safe to assume that the two get a lot of good one-on-one time in between Harden’s exploits on the court.

In addition to James Harden, one other Rocket who qualifies as a dog guy is Lou Williams, who posted a picture on Instagram today with his main man, Bellz.
