With their first win in the books, the Houston Rockets will look to continue their strong start to the season Friday as they go on the road to face the Atlanta Hawks. This game will be a key one for James Harden because due to his breakout debut on Tuesday, Atlanta will be on him like a Hawk. (See what I did there).
I expect Houston to be crisper on offense and stouter on defense. It would be complete asinine to think that Harden will continue to put up the same numbers he did Tuesday (37 points, 12 assists, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and a block). But if he can manage to put up 25 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds then I am satisfied.
Harden will have the ball in his hands a lot more tonight than he did Tuesday, he will be more familiar with his teammates than he was in game one as well. These are all things that will continue to progress as the season goes on and if I’m the rest of the league, I’m beginning to fear the beard.
