The Houston Rockets announced that they have recalled rookie forward Terrence Jones from NBA D-League partner Rio Grande Valley. Jones was sent down on November 30th, along with guard Scott Machado. In 2 starts, Jones had 27 points and 16 rebounds against the Tulsa 66ers on November 30th, and 18 points, 19 rebounds against the Texas Legends.
Jones has seen action in 7 games this season, averaging a little more than 10 minutes, while posting 3.6 points and 2 rebounds. Jones was the 18th overall pick in last summer’s draft, and one of three first round selections made by the Rockets.
Don’t expect to see any increase in playing time for Jones. With the return of Carlos Delfino, Marcus Morris will slide down and get most of the minutes at the back-up power forward position.
