Today marks the last day that fans can cast their votes for All-Star starters.  In the 3rd and final ballot return released last week, 3 Houston Rockets remained in the top 15 vote getters of the Western Conference.  Jeremy Lin and James Harden were the 3rd and 4th leading vote getters for the Western backcourt position, respectively.  Lin only trailed Los Angeles Clipper guard Chris Paul by less than 50,000 votes.

If the 1st year Rockets guard received enough votes to move ahead of Paul, then Lin would take over as a starting guard for the Western Conference.  While Harden was trailing Paul by over 300,000 votes, he will surely be selected to the team as a reserve.  Omir Asik was the 7th leading vote-getter in the Western Conference frontcourt, and unless a remarkable surge of votes rise for him, it looks like Asik will not be voted on.

The All-Star Starters will be announced live on Thursday, January 17th at 7:00 PM EST (6:00 PM CST) on TNT, while the reserves will be announced at a later date.

Fans who are looking to cast their final votes can do so right here.
