Houston Rockets: Donatas Motiejunas assigned to D-League, Terrence Jones Recalled

The Houston Rockets have assigned rookie forward/center Donatas Motiejunas to D-League affiliate Rio Grande Valley, while recalling fellow rookie forward Terrence Jones to the Rockets roster.  This will be Motiejunas’s third assignment to the D-League this season, in which he has played four games for the Vipers, averaging 23.5 points and 8.3 rebounds in his first two stints.  In 14 games with the Rockets, Motiejunas has averaged 1.6 points in 3.1 minutes.  He will be available for the Vipers Wednesday when they play host to the Texas Legends at State Farm Arena.

Jones has played with the Vipers for the last 10 games.  Overall in the D-League, Jones has played a total of 12 games, averaging 19.1 points and 9.8 rebounds.  One of three 1st round picks by the Rockets last summer, Jones has seen action in 11 games for Houston, averaging 3.1 points in 8.3 minutes.  He will be in uniform Wednesday night when the Rockets take on the Denver Nuggets.
