It will be a battle of two up and coming young talented teams as the Houston Rockets will face off against the Golden State Warriors.
This is not particularly a great matchup for the Rockets in my opinion. The Warriors are stacked at every position and are sitting at 30-17 on the season while the Rockets sit at 26-23.
The Rockets frontcourt will definitely have problems facing off against the Warriors bigs. Guys like David Lee, Carl Landry and Andrew Bogut is possibly one of the deepest frontcourts in the league. All three rebound at a high rate and all play great on both sides of the floor.
Jeremy Lin and Toney Douglas will have fits all night trying to guard Stephen Curry and Jarrett Jack.. Curry was one of the biggest snubs that missed the All-Star team and Jack is putting up the same numbers as Lin only he comes off the bench. That’s a scary thought.
The Warriors are also deep at the wing positions with guys like Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes and Richard Jefferson. Not only will Chandler Parsons and James Harden need to make an impact but guys like Carlos Delfino and Marcus Morris need to have big nights as well to pull out a win.
Both teams have a lot of similarities, I just think the Warriors when healthy are a notch above the Rockets at this point. This will be a great test for Houston to see where they stand at the moment.
