The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has reported that current Houston Rockets assistant coach Kelvin Sampson interviewed with the Milwaukee Bucks head coaching position for the second time on Wednesday. The Bucks had also been targeting Steve Clifford, who was named the head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday, leaving their top two candidates as Sampson, and former Atlanta Hawks head coach Larry Drew.
Sampson has become a hot ticket around the league as a head coaching candidate. He has interviewed with the Bobcats, along with the Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers openings. Sampson has spent the past two seasons with the Rockets, as Kevin McHale’s right hand man, and will be missed should he be somewhere else come next season.
