The Houston Rockets improve to 32-6 All-Time at Summer League with a 85-78 win over the Boston Celtics. The Rockets are now 3-0 during the Orlando Summer League. Terrence Jones lead the Rockets with 17 points, Vander Blue dropped 16 points and Robert Covington continued his outside shooting excelence along with hitting the boards. Covington finished with 11 points and 10 boards.

All eyes were on Kelly Olynyk whose play has been substantial throughout Boston’s four games at Summer League. He finished with 19 points and 10 boards, but had 7 fouls. In Sumer League you never foul out.

Once again the Rockets ramped up the defense leading to 16 Celtics turnovers, although the Rockets had 20 themselves. Casper Ware, and Vander Blue were on display as Patrick Beverly was awarded a DNP-Coach’s Decision.  The Rockets kept a steady lead throughout the entire contest, dominating with 50 total rebounds, including 24 on the offensive glass.

The Rockets have one game left tomorrow against the Brooklyn Nets who have played by far the worst out of all the teams in Summer League. They will try their best to keep the Rockets out of Championship Day on Friday. With a win and the Rockets winning at least two quarters they will pass the Oklahoma City Thunder and move into first place, assuring they play on Championship Day.
