For most of the Houston Rockets players, they have spent this off-season living like rock-stars: from spending the majority of their time in Los Angeles for an informal training camp, to making appearances on ESPN shows, to exploring the night life in the Hollywood area, and now, spending time in the Rockets adopted homeland: Asia.

Newly signed center, Dwight Howard, who has a contract with Adidas, had his new ‘D Howard 4’ shoes released last Tuesday, and landed in South Korea earlier this weekend for his Adidas Asia Tour. He is not the only Rocket currently in Asia, as Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons are spending time in Taiwan getting ready to host a basketball camp. James Harden also spent time in the Philippines in early July, and will be back there, along with the rest of his teammates in early October as the Rockets will face the Indian Pacers for 2 pre-season games.

While the ‘D Howard 4’ shoe has been released for the public, Howard himself, as already sported the new shoe prior to the release.  He wore a Lakers-themed colorway during the 2013 playoffs against the San Antonio Spurs and he wore this Rockets red/white version during his introductory photo shoot after inking his new deal in July.

Howard will travel to Taiwan and China after his stop in South Korea to round out his tour, before returning to Houston for the start of training camp.

The Rockets are the most popular team in Asia, which has become one of the NBA’s biggest markets since the team drafted Yao Ming with the no. 1 pick in 2002.
