Houston Rockets: EPIX Presents Dwight Howard: In the Moment

The Houston Rockets not only are looking forward to the documentary “Linsanity” from Jeremy Lin, but also from newly acquired Dwight Howard.

EPIX is thrilled to offer fans across the nation a close-up look at the life and accomplishments of 7-time NBA All-Star and 3-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Dwight Howard, in the EPIX Original Documentary, EPIX Presents Dwight Howard: In the Moment. Premiering spring 2014, the documentary follows Howard during another transitional year in his NBA career and private life. Recruited to the Houston Rockets as they make a run for the 2014 NBA championship, Howard previously played for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Orlando Magic after vaulting to the pros as the National High School Player of the Year from Atlanta, Georgia. The film traces his path to stardom and answers the question, ‘who is the real Dwight Howard?’

“Dwight Howard is one of the biggest names and greatest talents in basketball,” said Mark Greenberg, EPIX CEO and President. “We are delighted to offer his fans a glimpse into his life beyond what is shown on the court.”

“The 2013/14 season is a pivotal year in my professional career,” Howard said. “I am excited about being a Houston Rocket and grateful for the opportunity to be seen in an in-depth manner.  I am happy to be working with the EPIX team, including award-winning documentarian, Ross Greenburg.”

The documentary will premiere in spring 2014.
