In what was thought to be a slight bump in the road for Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley, appears to be more serious. The Rockets announced Friday morning that Beverley will miss 10-14 days from the rib injury he suffered on Wednesday night.

This means that Jeremy Lin, who scored 16 points off the bench in the season opener, will return to the starting lineup, with Aaron Brooks backing him up. Brooks played 11 minutes with the absence of Beverley on Wednesday, and will continue to see an increased role.
