James Harden sat out Saturday night, in what turned out to be a 112-101 win for the Houston Rockets over the Minnesota Timberwolves with a sore left foot. The nagging injury now may sideline him for Monday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies as well. Coach Kevin McHale spoke about Harden’s status after the Rockets’ win:

“He(Harden) went and saw the doctor today and they were going to change up the treatment a little bit and we’ll kind of see where it goes from there. It’s been bothering him now for a few weeks. I think that’s the plan as of right now (on Harden sitting out Monday). But again, we’ll see what this new stuff does. It’s all pain relevant.”

Jeremy Lin started in Harden’s place against the Wolves, and scored 19 points, while the depth of the Rockets really showed with Patrick Beverley adding 17 points and Aaron Brooks scoring a season high 26 points.
