It was mostly the bench that stepped up to carry the Houston Rockets to a 113-84 win over the Atlanta Hawks, but a couple of starters made their fair share of highlight plays. Dwight Howard finished with 11 points and 8 rebounds in just 26 minutes, but showed all out effort late in the 2nd quarter when he rebounded a Patrick Beverley miss, jumped, and turned 180 degrees in the air to throw down an easy 2.
Terrence Jones continued his great play since being in the starting lineup, finishing with 14 points and 6 rebounds. A defining moment came in the 2nd quarter when the Rockets lead by just 46-40; Jones blocked a Gustavo Ayon layup, sprinted down the court, and threw down a lob pass from Chandler Parsons to spark a 9-3 Rockets’ run.
