On Tuesday, it was reported that the Boston Celtics had no interest in acquiring Omer Asik anymore, but now, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Celtics are in the mix again, with the possibility of sending forward Brandon Bass, guard Courtney Lee, and a 1st-round draft pick in return.

Serious talks on Boston-Houston package for Asik have included Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee and a 1st round pick, sources tell Yahoo.

Lee, who played for the Rockets from 2010-2012, may not be headed back to Houston if a third team is involved in the deal. Wojnarowski also reported that the two other potential teams who have been interested in an Asik deal, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks, are most likely not in the loop anymore.

Cleveland and Atlanta have faded significantly in discussions on Omer Asik, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

The next couple of hours could be interesting, the Rockets host the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, and their self-imposed deadline of dealing Asik is set for Thursday.
