Houston Rockets center Omer Asik will most likely be moved in the next 24 hours, and one of the rumored teams who could possibly land him are the Cleveland Cavaliers. Well, according to their head coach, Mike Brown, the Cavs have no interest in acquiring the 7-footer, in exchange for Anderson Varejao.

Brown spoke to the Akron Beacon Journal Wednesday morning:

“It’s funny to hear people report that Anderson Varejao is getting traded for Omer Asik,” Brown said while butchering the pronunciation of Asik’s last name. “If I can’t pronounce his name, you know it ain’t going to happen. It’s mind-boggling.”

However, this doesn’t mean the Cavs will not take part in a trade involving Asik, as ESPN’s Briand Windhorst stated that there is a possibility for a 3-team trade involving the Boston Celtics, Rockets, and Cavs where Asik would be sent to Boston, Jeff Green to Cleveland, and the Rockets receiving at least a 1st-round pick.
