The Houston Rockets missed three pointers, James Harden struggled, and the Indiana Pacers play tremendous defense. Tonight that recipe lead to a blowout win for the Indiana Pacers beating the Rockets, 114-81.
The only bright spots for the Rockets were the play of Dwight Howard and Chandler Parsons. Howard finished with 19 points, 12 boards, and 5 blocks. Howard lead the team in points, boards, blocks, and tied Parsons, and Harden with 2 assists.

Houston only dished out 10 assists, while the Pacers finished with 29. Parsons shot 6-8 and finished with 14 points, and that was about it for positive things associated with the Rockets.
The Indiana Pacers made it to the Eastern Conference Finals, and lost their first home game of the season two nights ago to the Detroit Pistons.(whom the Rockets play tomorrow). Indiana is ready, the Rockets…not yet. Houston played well enough early on, but the missed shots and stagnant offense lead to 32-84 (38%) shooting and everyone’s favorite Rockets play “James Harden Iso”
Tonight Harden couldn’t find his touch shooting 3-14, finishing with 12 points. Numerous possessions dissolved into the loved, and loathed “James Harden Iso.”
Like many Rockets games the essential stat is the Rockets three point shooting and when it’s 4-22 (18%) you can pretty much guarantee a loss.
Rockets roll to Detroit tomorrow night to play the Pistons . James Harden made the greatest debut ever by a Rockets player with 37 points (14-25 FG), 12 dimes, six rebounds, four steals and one block in guiding Houston to a 105-96 win at Detroit, let’s hope some Motor City magic remains.
