Coming off their worst loss of the season, the Houston Rockets came into Saturday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons severely underhanded with injuries to Jeremy Lin, James Harden, who both sat out. Patrick Beverley suffered a fractured hand early in the game, and the Rockets were down to just 10 players.

Dwight Howard would carry the load, finishing with 35 points and 19 rebounds, and Chandler Parsons added 20 points and 7 rebounds as the Rockets came out of the motor city with a 114-97 win.

The 3-ball finally found its way through the rim, as the Rockets shot 39 percent(9 for 23) from behind the arc. A string of 3 consecutive 3’s in the 2nd quarter blew the Rockets lead to as much as 17 points.

Omri Casspi finished with 13 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds, while Francisco Garcia scored 16 points, and hit 4 of 8 from the 3-point line as he started in place of Harden.
