The Houston Rockets have announced that point guard Patrick Beverley will be out 4 to 6 weeks with a fractured hand. Beverley was injured early in the Rockets win over the Detroit Pistons Saturday night, and with Jeremy Lin already out, the amount of injuries keep piling up in the first month and a half of the season.

Beverley is averaging 9.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 24 starts this season. With Aaron Brooks as the only healthy point guard on the roster at the moment, the Rockets called up Isaiah Canaan from D-League affiliate Rio Grande Valley to add some depth.
