The offensive play of Houston Rockets for the second game in a row was not fun to watch, until the 4th quarter. Rockets go on 19-6 to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans 107 – 98.
Early on the Rockets fead Dwight Howard as he rebounded from a 2 point, 3 board game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Howard finished with 24 points, and 18 boards. His matchup on the defensive end Anthony Davis finished with 18 points and 16 boards.
The three point shot has been a gift and curse all season for the Rockets and tonight it was all-curse. Houston shot 6-26 (23%) from deep. Jeremy Lin was the only Rockets player to connect on two threes (2-5), James Harden shot 1-7, and Fransisco Garcia missed all four of his attempts.
The Pelicans went on a 10-2 run early in the 4th quarter to give them a three point lead, but similar to the Memphis game, Jeremy Lin found the touch in the 4th. He started the #RedNation Rally with a layup, then he and Harden knocked down huge three pointers. Lin finished with 10 points and 5 dimes. James Harden finished with 21 points, and 10 of those points coming in the 4th quarter.
The stat sheet filling machine Chandler Parsons finished with 19 points, 7 boards, 4 dimes, and 2 steals.
Houston heads to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder tomorrow night at 7pm on NBATV.
