Affectionately known as ‘D-Mo’, the 7-footer from Lithuania has appeared in just 17 games this season, averaging 2.7 points and 1.5 rebounds.

D-Mo was also sent down to the Vipers last season, where he put up impressive numbers of 20.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in 7 games, before being called up.

This move also correlates with the Rockets’ front office and coaching staff anticipating on the return of Omer Asik very soon, who has been sidelined for the past 16 games. All signs indicate that Asik will remain in Houston, and solidify the back-up center spot behind Dwight Howard.
