Houston Rockets: Happy Birthday Aaron Brooks!

On behalf of Space City Scoop, I’d like to wish Aaron Brooks a happy 29th birthday. The 7th year point guard has become a steady contributor this season for the Houston Rockets, averaging 7.4 points, and is shooting 41 percent from the 3-point line, leading the team in that department.
Originally a first-round pick of the Rockets back in 2007, Brooks spent three and a half seasons with the team before being traded to the Phoenix Suns in February 2011. His first stint included a breakout playoff series performance against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semifinals in 2009, and an NBA’s Most Improved player award in 2009-2010 when he averaged 19.6 points and 5.3 assists that season.
Brooks spent time in China during the lockout season of 2011-2012, in which nearly taking a knee to the face from NBA exile Stephon Marbury was the most memorable moment, before returning to the NBA with the Sacramento Kings.
He was released on March 2013 before finding his way back to Houston. RedNation sure is happy to have him back! Happy Birthday Aaron!
