The wait seemed too long, but the Houston Rockets were finally able to beat the Sacramento Kings, cruising to a 119-98 win.

Dwight Howard led the way with 26 points and 13 rebounds, and James Harden made 10 of 10 free throws en route to a 24-point, 9 assist performance. Chandler Parsons also added 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Omri Casspi scored 20 points and grabbed 12 boards off the bench. Jeremy Lin also added 13 points.

With the Kings up 12-7 early in the 1st quarter, Rudy Gay was forced to leave the game after limping off the court from an injured achilles. The Rockets would go on a quick 8-2 run, and would never trail for the remainder of the game.

The Kings would take another injury hit in the second quarter when DeMarcus Cousins rolled his left ankle going for a layup. Patrick Beverley was able to swat the shot away, and stared Cousins down while he was on the ground in the pain, which led to a technical foul.

Granted the 2 main players were injured, but the Rockets were able to take advantage of the short-handed Kings. They dominated the boards(55-41), controlled the lane(66-32 in points in the paint), and held the Kings to just 39 percent(34 for 86) shooting.
