Houston Rockets: Dwight Howard and James Harden Included In USA Basketball Roster Pool

On Thursday, USA Basketball announced its 28-player pool for the next 3 summers leading up to the 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The player decisions were made by chairman Jerry Colangelo and head coach Mike Krzyzewski, and includes current Houston Rocket players James Harden and Dwight Howard.
Harden was a member of the 2012 gold medal team in London, while Howard was part of the gold medalist “Redeem Team” in the Beijing games in 2008. The pool is broken down into 14 ‘veteran’ players, and 14 ‘newcomer’ players:
Team USA is scheduled to compete in the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain next summer, will have the summer of 2015 off if they finish in first place.
