With the 2013-14 NBA season being at the halfway mark, here is a look at the Top 5 shooting guards in the NBA:

Honorable Mentions: Kobe Bryant(6 games played), Aaron Afflalo, Klay Thompson, Kevin Martin, and Jamal Crawford

5. Lance Stephenson

2013-14 stats: 13.7 ppg, 5.2 apg, 6.8 rpg, 15.56 PER

Lance Stephenson is playing like NBA’s most improved player midway in the season. Helping the hot Indiana Pacers, Stephenson leads all shooting guards in the NBA with the most double-doubles with 10. Stepping in as a starter while Danny Granger was out, Stephenson definitely looks like an All-Star. Averaging 0.7 steals a game, his defensive presence cracks him in the top 5 this season for shooting guards.

Stephenson has improved in shooting this season by shooting a career high in 46 percent from the field, as well as a career high 35 percent from 3, and has become a better free throw shooter. He has career highs all over the board this season and looks to keep improving as the season progresses. Stephenson plays like dog and has always had the potential to play like this every night.
