According to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports, the Houston Rockets are actively seeking to deal swingman Francisco Garcia.
“Francisco Garcia, who owns a player’s option for next season, has been dangled in trade talks lately, a source said.”
The Rockets thought the 32-year-old veteran would be an integral piece off the bench, but has struggled this season, averaging just 5.8 points, while shooting 34 percent from behind the 3-point line. This also comes at the expense of a rumor stirring up a couple of weeks ago that the Rockets will most likely target Chicago Bulls‘ forward Mike Dunleavy at the trade deadline, who’s averaging 10.7 points, and shoots over 39 percent from beyond the arc.
The trade deadline is now less than 3 weeks away, so it’s time for general manager Daryl Morey to line his chips up for a deal.
