In what was suppose to play out as James Harden‘s return to the Houston Rockets starting lineup, Jeremy Lin stole the spotlight, as he recorded his first career triple-double, finishing with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Harden did manage to score 28 points, while Dwight Howard added 26 points and 6 rebounds. Patrick Beverley was scoreless but made a huge impact in every other area, pulling down 10 boards, dishing out 8 assists, and recording a career high 5 steals.

The Cavs got big games out of Luol Deng, who led the way with 24 points, while Kyrie Irving finished with 21 points and 7 assists. Dion Waiters added 19 off the bench. But the difference in the game was the Rockets ability to get out and run the floor, recording 29 fast break points, and dominating down low, holding a 62-32 advantage in points in the paint.
