As advertised, a track meet took place at the Toyota Center with the Houston Rockets coming away with a 122-108 win over the Phoenix Suns. For one of the rare times this season, the 3-ball was falling as the Rockets shot 69 percent(11 for 16) from beyond the arc, and 55 percent(39 for 71) for the game. 

Dwight Howard dominated in the paint, to the tune of 34 points and 14 rebounds, while James Harden redeemed himself from a poor outing in the first matchup, finishing with 23 points, including 12 of 12 from the free throw line. Terrence Jones looked like he was on pace for a double-double in the 1st quarter, but still managed to finish with 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Chandler Parsons also added 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Holding on to just a 95-90 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter, the Rockets outscored the Suns 27-18 in the 4th quarter, and ended the game on a 19-9 run in the final 5 minutes.
