Kyrie Irving took away MVP honors at the 63rd NBA All-Star Game, leading the East All-Stars to a 163-155 win Sunday night to the tune of 31 points and 14 assists, while Carmelo Anthony made an All-Star record 8 3-pointers, finishing with 30 points.
The West won the past 3 All-Star games, and it seemed like it would be a 4th straight win as they held a 17 point lead in the 3rd quarter, before a comeback ensued led by Irving and John Wall. Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant each scored 38 points.
James Harden scored 8 points and dished out 5 assists in 23 minutes, while Dwight Howard finished with 8 points and 11 rebounds in 13 minutes.
