Houston Rockets Sweep San Antonio Spurs In Season Series For First Time Since 1988-’89

For the first time since the 1988-’89 season, the Houston Rockets have swept a season series against the San Antonio Spurs after pulling out a win Monday night at Toyota Center, 104-98.

Chandler Parsons returned to the starting lineup and led the way with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. All 5 starters scored in double digits, as Dwight Howard added 20 points and 17 rebounds, while Terrence Jones scored 20 points and grabbed 11 boards. James Harden had a casual 16 points and dished out 7 dimes, and Patrick Beverley added 12 points.

With the win, the Rockets have clinched home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs next week against the Portland Trail Blazers.
