Houston Rockets Drop Season Finale In New Orleans

Playing with a make-shift lineup, the Houston Rockets were unable to end their outstanding season at 55 wins as the New Orleans Pelicans came away with a 105-100 win.

Without James Harden, Chandler Parsons, Jeremy Lin, and Omer Asik in the lineup, Troy Daniels started at shooting guard and scored a team-high 22 points, hitting 6 of 11 3-pointers. Dwight Howard played just 26 minutes, scoring 7 points and grabbing 4 boards. Terrence Jones finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds, Patrick Beverley scored 14 points in 22 minutes of work, and Jordan Hamilton made 4 of 7 3-pointers to finish with 14 points off the bench.

The focus now immediately shifts to Sunday night, as the Rockets first round playoff matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers begins.
