Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley suffered a knee injury late in their 122-120 Game 1 overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, but is expected to be available for Game 2 Wednesday night.

Rockets announce exam on Pat Beverley revealed “no acute issues” and he is listed as “day-to-day, but will likely be available for Game 2.”

Beverley recently returned from a torn meniscus injury that sidelined him for about 3 weeks, but still managed to play 38 minutes in Game 1. Primarily in the game to defend Blazers point guard Damian Lillard, Beverley still contributed on offense, scoring 9 points and grabbing 6 rebounds.

There was cause for concern that Beverley’s injury could have been more severe, but it looks as if for the moment, he will still be available to play in the series.
