NBA Hall-of-Famer Oscar Robertson believes impending free agent Carmelo Anthony should leave the New York Knicks for the Houston Rockets this summer. Robertson stated during an interview with Spike Lee on SiriusXM NBA Radio that the Rockets are the perfect situation for Anthony.
“If he(Anthony) goes to Houston, they’re gonna win everything.”

Anthony has a $23.3 million option for next season to stay with the Knicks, but has already stated that he will opt out. Should he re-sign with the Knicks, his max contract can be worth up to 5-years for $129 million, while any other team can only give him a max of 4-years for $95 million.
However, it was reported last week that the average NBA salary cap is projected to increase by $5 million for each team, which would give the Rockets enough room to offer a max deal to Anthony.
Along with the Rockets and Knicks, the Chicago Bulls are considered to be the 3rd team who will entice Anthony during his free agency.
