The NBA announced Tuesday morning that Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant has been named the league’s MVP. It marks the first time in Durant’s career that he’s taken home the honors, edging out Miami Heat forward Lebron James.

James Harden finished 5th in the voting, behind Blake Griffin and Joakim Noah, who finished 3rd and 4th, respectively. Harden just missed out on becoming the 8th player in NBA history to average at least 25 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds for a season.
