C+.
A strong contribution was provided from Beverley on this night going head to head against Derrick Rose. Beverley recorded great offensive numbers: 12 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists with no turnovers. Though he was a pest to Rose the entire game he was unable to stop him from surpassing his season averages (17.2 points/5.o assists) as Rose scored 19 points and had 9 assists.. PG. Rockets. B+.
Coach Kevin McHale split time at the power forward between Motiejunas and Josh Smith and added value toward Houston’s chances to win. Motiejunas set the tone early matching production with Pau Gasol in the first quarter and finished the contest on 8 of 14 shooting and finished with 16 points and six rebounds. The only downside was he could not keep his hot shooting night going even when the Rockets went to the smaller lineup in the final minutes.
. PF. Rockets. DONATAS MOTIEJUNAS
