3.  Golden State: Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry will head off to the All-Star game at weeks end and for the team who has occupied the top rank in the Association for most of the season it’s pretty obvious they’re ready.

They’ve handled themselves well considering it’s their first time being the team constantly in the sights of all teams (especially out West) and they’ve dealt with the pressure well. Signs they need the break came last week though when they lost back to back games versus Chicago and Utah.

In fairness I felt the Bulls game had a little too much zebra interference for my liking in it, however a miscue that led to a turnover ended up costing the Warriors a game they had virtually won. Utah was simply the hangover effect from the Bulls loss. Bottom line this team needs a mental break more than a physical break which not many teams can say.

This week brings the much anticipated match up with the Atlanta Hawks, but it’s on their court. Given how close these two teams are I’d say it’ll come down to the wire. Watch for GSW to return post break focused and driven to retain the top spot   (last week 1st)
