So Goran Dragic heads to Miami and Houston Rocket GM Daryl Morey doesn’t let it stop him from making moves. What we got isn’t necessarily what people were expecting especially at the point guard position.

The good news is K.J. McDaniels is a really great talent. Long, lean, athletic and has shown signs in Philadelphia of being a capable defender. He is 6’6″ and 200 pounds.

In 25 minutes a game he’s averaged 9.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.3assists, 0.8 steals and 1.3 blocks

Philadelphia has traded K.J. McDaniels to Houston for Isaiah Canaan and a second round pick, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

As per the point guard role we end up with a back up point guard in Pablo Prigioni and shed the contract of Alexey Shved Not necessarily the point guard we were looking for (especially when we lose Isaiah Canaan) but will fill obviously the role of back up point guard:

While Prigioni isn’t necessarily a stats buster at least he comes at a relatively low cost (depending on how much you value Alexey Shved):

Houston will send New York two second-round picks for Prigioni, source tells Yahoo.
