Houston Rockets Get NBA Jam Makeover on Throwback Thursday:

During Thursday nights award ceremony for the Houston Rockets Championship teams, a video was shown on the big screen of this year’s team..but with a slight twist. The Rockets highlights were mixed in with audio and effects from the 1993 game “NBA Jam.”

Most 80’s and 90’s kids remember the arcade version where draining buckets could get your player to “heat up,” but Tim Kitzrow (NBA Jams’ resident announcer) and the video editors took this video to a whole new level.

“Dwight Howard didn’t go to college, but he graduated from Dunkin-On-U. Ohhhh Boomshakalaka!”

Any other lines catch your attention? What did you think about the video?

Let us know in the comments below and don’t miss the Rockets taking on the Phoenix Suns, Saturday night at Toyota Center.
