 National Lists:

John Schuhmann of moves the Rockets up one spot to 6th. Curiously after winning 7 of 8 as Schuhmann points out he still puts the Clippers (who are beating vastly inferior opponents) ahead of them as well as Atlanta who haven’t been on fire of late.

USA Today: The panel  rank the Rockets third moving them up two spots and it’s the second consecutive week they’ve moved them up.

ESPN Stein: Marc Stein finally moves the Rockets up after holding them steady the past two weeks in sixth. Last week Stein pointed out ESPN didn’t even rank Houston in the top 5 to make the Western finals. With them now in second and Memphis struggling post All-Star break could we see some of these pundits change their minds (especially if Houston come out of this week in second overall?).

ESPN Hollinger: Finally seems to be crediting the Rockets for their post All-Star break though he still ranks them outside the top 5 in seventh place.

CBS Matt Moore: has been moving the Rockets up and down for weeks and like Schuhmann moves them up this week. Unlike Schuhmann though Moore moves them up two spots recognizing the Rockets have earned a top 5 seeding. Finally Marc J. Spears dropped Houston to seventh last week and now appears to see the error of his ways jumping them four spots to 3rd this week.
