NBA Playoffs: Houston Rockets vs Dallas Mavericks
Series Preview: Part 2 – The History:
Although there are obviously some huge match-ups in the first round, arguably none are bigger than the Texas-sized battle between the number seven seeded Dallas Mavericks and number two seed Houston Rockets.
The teams have played each other in 180 games all-time, including playoffs since the Mavericks were founded in 1980. Being from the same division, this will not be a new look for either team; although they played each other the standard of 4-times this season.
Huge headlines will dominate the previews to this series, but a look at what has happened in the past may lead us to the eventual winner. This will be the third time the two teams have gotten together for a playoff series, the most recent occurring in 2005.
Sparks will definitely be flying Saturday night when the two teams play Game 1 at the Toyota Center in Houston and according to history, the best is yet to come.
