It’s no surprise the odds makers have Houston favored today as is generally the case when a team has dominated a series like the Rockets have. They enter the night 3 point favorites.
The key will be keeping the Dallas crowd out of the game so a solid start is imperative as is a consistent effort through all four quarters.
Dallas haven’t been able to apply defense past one quarter to limit the Rockets and we shouldn’t expect a team who haven’t done it all year to find that ability now.
This one is all in the Rockets hands:
Can they maintain their focus to take care of the business at hand?
Will Dallas come out with the same desperation required to take a game or will they go quietly into the night?
No team has ever come back from being down 3-0 in a series, don’t expect the Mavericks to be the team who changes that stat. Still, some say closing out a series is the toughest game to win. But, these Rockets and James Harden have dealt with being under estimated all season, They are aware pundits said the one upper seeded team who could be upset in the first round was the Rockets. Sitting with the advantage they have and knowing their next opponent will be one of San Antonio or the Clippers should provide ample motivation for the Rockets to finish this series today so they get the further advantage of rest.
Get out the brooms Clutch City…. this one’s a sweep!
