Entering the series the one discernible area the Rockets held an edge over the Warriors was their bench production, however the Warriors have taken the edge in this category through the first 2 games. Teams tend to perform better at home so let’s hope the return to the Toyota Center will ignite an improvement from the reserves.
Specifically Corey Brewer who was a team worst (plus/minus) -23 in Game 2, needs to improve on both ends. With Houston making their fourth quarter run and in the final minute Brewer and James Harden combined to pressure Steph Curry while he tried to move the ball up court. Brewer made the key blocking his initial pass which resulted in an 8-second call and a turnover. Let’s hope the home cooking and that final play by Brewer can carry over into Game 3 as Brewer needs to be much better for Houston to succeed.
