Walking Wounded:

Golden State:

  • Stephen Curry that horrendous fall is bound to have some effect on Curry especially given the travel and just one day off. If nothing else he’s sure to be stiff since he hit his wrist, elbow, arm, back, shoulder, neck and head. It’s hard to imagine it’s just his head that’s hurting. In the media, he’s stating otherwise, but what would you expect him to say? As of a couple hours ago, we are now hearing Curry will wear a sleeve and is admiting he is bruised, but that it won’t affect his production or mindset.

Curry says fall 'won't change how I play,' plus a coaching update. Playoff Buzz:

  • Marreese Speights: Hurt his calf in the Memphis Grizzlie series, hasn’t played in series yet but progressed to running stairs on Monday.
  • Ognjen Kuzmic injured his ankle May 2nd, has been listed as available for the series, but has yet to dress.

  • K.J. McDaniels  reported as a non-displaced elbow fracture in the final game of the season, he’s listed as likely out for the post season. McDaniels isn’t sporting any type of cast but perhaps this is something that just requires rest. It’s unfortunate because it would be nice to be able to use his length as a defensive stopper on Curry and or Thompson
  • Patrick Beverley  Following the removal of Beverley’s cast he was listed as out for the series, BUT he was seen shooting at the Sunday practice with a cast on. Makes me wonder if Houston will bring him back (assuming he can play with that cast) in an effort to stop Curry. It’s not like they are getting huge production offensively from Jason Terry or Pablo Prigioni, so as long as he can’t hurt his wrist further and can manage to dribble and pass why not give it a shot.
