NBA 2015 Finals – Game 1 Recap:
The first game always brings with it plenty of nerves for players making their first trip to a championship series and even for some wily vets who’ve been there before. In the case of the two teams though the only player who would log any substantial minutes on court with that precious experience happened to also be arguably the best player in the world: LeBron James.
James came out firing and led his Cavaliers to an early 14 point lead while the new kids on the block for Golden State calmed their nerves. The Warriors showed signs of being tight with their missed field goal attempts and seemed unable to find a rhythm. Until coach Steve Kerr inserted some vets in the form of Andre Iguodala, Leandro Barbosa and freshly returned from injury Marreese Speights. who cut the lead to 3 by half and settled the home town squad.
